Overview

GIRL SCOUTS – Troop 229 & Troop 3024

Mission: Building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place

Objective: In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect.

Process: Girl Scouting is meeting girls’ definition of what it takes to be a leader with the New Girl Leadership Experience—a model that engages girls in discovering themselves, connecting with others, and taking action to make the world a better place. This model is more inclusive and empowering of girls as the experiences are, as much as possible, girl led and encourage experiential and cooperative learning.

Average number of Youth participants: Troop 229 & 3024 (10 girls)

What do you do for Biblical Education in your Ministry? Each year the girls are able to earn their religious awards ~ My Promise, My Faith and PRAY. Each of these programs requires the girl to explore her Faith and relate it to Girl Scouting
